Thomas Walskaar is a graphic designer and researcher. He has a Masters in Media Design and Communication from The Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam and a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Ravensbourne, London. 

Over the last six years Thomas has worked in a variety of mediums through work with the magazine and newspaper industry in Norway. His personal interests revolve around frailty of storage technology, and the consequent necessity for individuals to employ robust archival solutions through the assistance of design. He also have an interest identity design and design for public space and events

Recently, he self published a book entitled “My Hard-Drive Died Along With My Heart” about the issues of hard-drive failures that now features in the MOMA Library as part of the Printed-Web collection. As extension of his interest in this field he produced and organised "Floppy Totaal v3.0". Floppy Totaal is the first festival in the world entirely devoted to contemporary floppy disk culture and art.
